STRUCTURAL SOLUTIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROSPECTIVE CENTRIFUGAL FIRE PUMPS IN UKRAINE
Abstract
Taking into account the current state of use of fire-fighting centrifugal pumps, installed on appropriate samples of fire-fighting equipment, the main reasons and necessity of
development and implementation of fire-fighting centrifugal pumps of domestic production are considered. The most optimal values of fire pumps nominal supply are determined. The main requirements of the classification of fire-fighting centrifugal pumps in accordance with the national standard of Ukraine DSTU EN 1028-X: 2014 are considered. Centrifugal fire pumps with pre-fill are centered. The aspects of introduction of centrifugal fire pumps designed in accordance with EN 1028 for firefighting trucks manufactured in Ukraine are considered. The analysis of the existing centrifugal fire pumps designs, both domestic and foreign production is conducted. The basic design solutions of centrifugal fire pumps, namely the variations of the pump shaft stop, the number of impellers of the centrifugal pump, advantages and disadvantages of one or another design are considered. The designs of centrifugal pumps of pre-filling systems by leading European manufacturers and their influence on the general constructive decisions of the fire-fighting centrifugal pump is examined. The influence of design solutions of fire-fighting centrifugal pumps on their further operational characteristics is considered. The main approaches to the line of development of domestic fire-fighting pumps in accordance with the characteristics specified in the classification of fire-fighting centrifugal pumps EN 1028 are identified by the results of analysis
The most promising design solutions that can be applied during the development and production of the line of fire-fighting centrifugal pumps, namely pump, number of impellers, type of centrifugal pump seals; general concept of the pre-fill systems centrifugal pumps development are considered. The prospects for further research, including the unification of the design within the same release line, etc are identified.
