HYDRAULIC VENTILATION AND ANTI-VENTILATION DURING FIRE SUPPRESSION
Abstract
The types of tactical fire ventilation are analysed. The procedure for organizing hydraulic ventilation and anti-ventilation during a fire is considered.
Based on the analysis of foreign works, two methods of conducting tactical ventilation in buildings and structures during fire extinguishing and liquidation of the consequences of an emergency were theoretically investigated and substantiated. The issue regarding the procedure for organizing hydraulic ventilation and anti-ventilation during a fire in an enclosure was considered in detail.
On the basis of own experimental studies, the technical parameters of the water nozzles and the directions of their use during the discharge and exhaust hydraulic ventilation were determined. The examples consider when using anti-ventilation will lead to the expected results when extinguishing fires in premises in the residential sector. Schemes of operational deployments are presented and the department's actions on the tank truck during the appropriate method of tactical ventilation are described. When extinguishing fires, attention is drawn to the shortcomings and negative consequences of the two methods of conducting tactical ventilation in buildings and structures.
