PROBLEM ISSUES OF IMPLEMENTATION OF MEASURES OF MINING ACTIVITIES OF UKRAINE DURING COMBAT

Abstract

The article analyzes the measures of mine action of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the anti-terrorist operation and the operation of the joint forces in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.

Today, one of the most important issues in eastern Ukraine is the conduct of special work to search for, neutralize or destroy explosives along the line of demarcation and entry and exit checkpoints and accounting for mine barriers.

Within the framework of civil-military cooperation in cooperation with international humanitarian organizations, constant work is being done to protect the civilian population from the possible negative consequences of the presence of a huge number of mines, banners and unexploded ordnance left after active hostilities in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The main objectives of mine action in Ukraine during hostilities are: reducing the risks that may arise due to the detonation of explosives, minimizing and preventing the threat of accidents from unauthorized handling of explosives, reducing social tensions among the population and preserving and ensuring environmental protection.

Also, the article considers a number of problematic issues of mine action in eastern Ukraine, which need to be addressed in order to successfully complete the tasks of conservation of human and material resources.
